Nickel Wines

Nickel Wines is a premiere, high volume, neighborhood wine and artisan spirits shop in developing and up-and-coming areas of Brooklyn, specializing in naturally made, traditional-style wine. The shop is to focus on individual relationships with customers; as everyone who walks into the store will receive individual attention, customized to their needs and familiarity with wine. Nickel Wines encourages novices to discover new wines and develop their palate while ensuring that experts consider Nickel Wine a top source for their favorite styles and producers.

The logo icon is inspired by the Jefferson Nickel, for President Thomas Jefferson's passion for wine. He has been described as America's "first distinguished viticulturist."  The typography is also influenced by traditional typefaces from Jefferson's time. The logo was created in mind as a versatile emblem for letterpress seals, wax stamping, window decal, and a leather punch.
